Can you believe it? I left my radio on again last night! I woke up to the same voice that used to wake me up years ago. It’s the DJ — Roselle Jane Gatcho — and at this very moment, she is introducing the latest song hit. This song is composed by the colorful CC. Listen!

The voice! It’s so familiar! Well, that was Camille Casumpang, also known as CC, the Mariah Carey of today. This morning though, I had second thoughts about getting off my bed. I always dream of getting up in a 3-storey mansion in Beverly Hills. But no, I am stuck in the same condo that I’ve lived in for the past five years. The same condo that I bought from Wilbert Velasco’s Condo Company.

Anyway, I guess that living in Blas’ Business Park isn’t so bad. You see, Blas Go forced the Ayala Business Park into bankruptcy, making his Park the new business center of Cebu. So I live in the heart of Cebu’s business district.

Unfortunately, I am currently a member of Cebu’s elite unemployed society. Just a week ago, I was working as the PR Manager of Z.A.Y.B. Electronics. I even made the popular slogan "Zayb, You can’t go wrong with us." Despite what I did, I was fired because of the economic recession. The dollar rate has just sunk to 500!  Mark Ybañez, my former boss, personally handed me my last paycheck.

I can’t stand doing nothing! So I went to the Unemployment Agency to look for work. Who else did I meet but Paul Giovanni Diu! He never seemed to hold on to a job. According to his psychiatrists Dr. Lailah Dy and Dr. Charisma Go, "Talagang Kahindik-hindik at hindi kapani-paniwala ang Pangyayaring Ito." Paul seems to enjoy absenteeism.

Too bad, no jobs are available. My agent handed me a newspaper and suggested that I look through the Classified Ads. I got the paper and went home. After reading the day’s news, I sat down on my water sofa and turned on the HTV (Hologram Television).

I know who that is. It’s Rachel Bono, the news anchor! Sorry Rachel, but I hate weather forecasts. I switched the channel to MTV.

Jennifer Po and Analou Dy are the new MTV hosts. They are playing the latest Philippine hit, "Pagsulyap-sulyap" by Edalyn Keh. I’m not exactly crazy about Tagalog songs, so I switched to the Sports Channel. They are now awarding the MVP award of the year. The winner has just received his trophy.

The camera focused to the face of Lemuel Gallo.

Lemuel Gallo won the MVP award for this year. His teammates are Paolo Gaviola, Peejay Juan, Arnel Yongco, and Wilford Po. The five have just completed an exhibition tour around Asia. Can you imagine, they are being called "Asia’s Hope". They will leave for Beijing later this year to participate in the 2008 Olympics.

It’s getting late. I better start my job-hunting earlier. I turned off the HTV and decided to take a bath. I stepped into the shower. Uh oh, we lost our water again!

That’s my next door neighbor, Michelle Po. She really hates it when her 3-hour baths are disturbed. Especially now that she is applying for a position at Steveshop Galore. The business tycoon Stevenson Yu will be interviewing her in 1 hour. No wonder she’s upset. Well, I can’t relax with such a noise! I placed a call to Erbert de Vera, our resident handyman. That man works wonders—in a few minutes, the water was flowing again. My bath is finished.

After stepping out of the shower, I changed into a formal outfit. I got this outfit at Rosibelle Sarmiento’s Fashion Boutique for a discount. It is a complete set of clothes. Famous designer Jenny Discaya created even the shoes. Looking around my condo, I remembered that my good friend Kylene Wee decorated my interior for free.

But that was in the past. Now it is time to start looking for a new job. I picked up my newspaper and walked out of my condo. The first opening is at Baldwin’s Restaurant. I hitched a ride downtown and went in.

Zenaida Gomez owns this restaurant. The name may not be wonderful, but the food sure is. It is the only establishment that passed the Health Exam conducted by nutritionist Cindy Ong. Not only is the food healthy, but it is also delicious. Leelyn Yap, the famous cook, gave it a rating of "Sumptuously Superb". I can’t argue with that. Unfortunately, Zenaida doesn’t have any openings for me, so I walked away still jobless.

Maybe the local theater is hiring. So that is my next stop. The "Invisible Man" is playing. The stars of the show are the DOJ and Company. They are Jehmel Go, Donwill Loyd Lim, Rennan Lui, and Ryan Bacaro. Maybe they need some help.

They don’t need any help, neither did their promoter Ian Chavez Lim, the greatest singe-composer since the Beatles. Across the street is the fastest Cybercafe and best beauty parlor n Cebu all rolled into one. It’s CHATCOM dot COM.

Weimon Famat manages the cyber part of the store. The beauty parlor is named "Just like HELLO!" It’s run by Rachel Limtong, Ivy Chong, Genevieve Dy, Michelle Lim, and Katrina Huang. My luck has run out. They need a programmer and a hair stylist, but not a PR Manager.

Don’t tell me I can’t get a job anywhere! How about my Alma Mater, Philippine Christian Gospel School? So I decided to visit my old school to look for job openings. As I passed one of the classrooms, I heard a loud voice.

Ano ba iyan? Si Joel Chan ay nagiging Chinese teacher! Then I remembered that Joel teaches Chinese as a part time job. He is an architect by profession. I went on to the Faculty Room. To my surprise, I learned that Ephraim Ballo-allo is the Chemistry teacher. Nancy Tabhan teaches music, Eleanor Uy and Edlyn Uy are both librarians, and Khristina Chiongliu is the school nurse!

We exchanged greetings, but sadly there were no jobs for me. So I walked all the way to downtown to have my lunch. I stopped by KFC, and discovered that Sheryl Lim owns the store’s franchise. We talked for a while. After that, I continued my job hunting.

As I passed by the Ultra Cebu Astrodome (formerly Cebu Coliseum), I heard music coming from the stage. The Redboys are in town! I went backstage to get some autographs of Aldwin Peque, Marc Tiu, Alexies Agriam, and their female lead singer Kimberly Po.

After some questions, I found out that no jobs were available. As I started to leave, a stretch limo pulled next to me. The door opened, and Frederick Mocoy, Kenneth Lim, and Ritche Gimena walked out. The trio has built a business empire MooGLe. Then Ritche reminded me that our Tenth Year Reunion is tonight.

Oh my goodness! The Reunion was tonight??!! I forgot all about it! The worst part is…I don’t have any clothes, and I don’t have a job! This is a big problem! Luckily for me, Ritche offered to give me a makeover—free of charge! So I hopped on the limo, and we sped uptown.

Shortly, we reached Lee Gardens. The Lees own this upscale salon: Timothy Lee, Dennis Lee, and Janette Lee. I was given a complete makeover. I don’t know hwy they had to do that. I mean, handsome naman ako, di ba?

Later that night, we arrived at the Langlila Hotel constructed by Engineer Kim Te. This is the venue of our reunion. Everybody was there. Herbert Kwan, the matinee idol. Laarni Espina and May Ann Lim, the supermodels. Janice Ligutom, the famous movie actress who has just released her latest movie "Excess Garbage".

And everybody, Ladies and Gentlemen, let us now welcome the late—I mean always late Governor Almino Malaza III.

And with him is his bodyguard, the war hero Gabe Villaflor. We must not leave out the replacement of Christie Ferinius as "Reyna ng Tsismis"— Liezl Torres! Also present are doctors Abigail Burca (brain surgeon) and Melah Jayne Labuca (expert on migraines) and Lyndy Leigh Uy (hair doctor).

Dhoria Lim, the skilled special effects creator and her assistant Monique Yiu are also here. But the main attraction of the night is no other than Miss Sheila Po, Bb. Pilipinas 2007 and the reigning Miss Universe! Sheila is escorted by Police Captain Michael Nilo Yap.

The music started. Each of us grabbed a partner and started dancing. Halfway through, the glass started to rattle. Nobody noticed at first, but when the tables shook, everyone realized what is happening.

The whole room was shaking! Everyone is panicking! Suddenly, a bright light engulfed us and we heard a deep voice say…HAPPY TENTH REUNION, BATCH 1998!!!!!

This was part of the program all along! We all settled down and finished the reunion uneventfully. As I started to think, this is the only day when I got to meet all of my 71 classmates who graduated with me last 1998. It is not just one coincidence, but a whole series of coincidences. Why is this all so familiar to me?

Then I finally understood. EVERYTHING in the Class Prophecy that I read on the J-S Prom 1998 had actually occurred! It is as if I read our future on that fateful day. Wait a minute, not everything I read happened! I was supposed to get a job at the end! How come I don’t have a happy ending? It’s so unfair!

Then Daniel Jared Yap, ZAYB Company's Vice President came to me. He rehired me on the spot! And that, my friends, is what I call a happy ending!

DIRECTOR: CUT!!! Good take! Proceed to location number two!

That was my director, Athena Catedral. Man, I’m a pretty damn good actor!
